Cricsheet
All match data on CricketWise comes from Cricsheet, which publishes freely available, structured ball-by-ball data for international matches, major T20 leagues and some domestic cricket. It also publishes a register of people with stable identifiers, which we use to tell apart players who share a name.
- Licence: Cricsheet's JSON match data is made available under the Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-BY 1.0). You may share and build on it if you credit the source and keep the licence clear.
- What we do with it: we compute totals, averages, rates and records from the ball-by-ball events. All statistics on this site are derived works produced from the Cricsheet data.

Coverage
- Tests from 2001, ODIs from 2002 and men's T20 internationals from 2005, plus major T20 leagues (IPL, BBL, PSL, BPL, CPL, SA20, The Hundred, WPL, WBBL and others) and some English, Australian and New Zealand domestic cricket.
- Older matches are not included, so career figures for players whose careers began earlier are incomplete. Each player page shows the date range covered.
- Some matches are missing from the data, especially older women's internationals.
- Cricsheet withholds matches involving the Afghanistan men's team and the Afghanistan Premier League. They are not on CricketWise, so figures for teams and players who played Afghanistan do not include those matches.
Updates
New matches appear on Cricsheet a few days after they are played. CricketWise checks for new and corrected matches every day. The "Data through" date on each page shows the latest match included.
